Three years ago, Cecilia Abidogun started sourcing Nigerian and Caribbean ingredients from her home in Edmonton. No business plan, no grand vision. Just neighbours who needed things they couldn’t find anywhere else.
Rice, palm oil, beans. People would knock on her door and she’d sort them out. It kept growing. At some point it stopped being a favour and started being something bigger.
May 2025, the doors opened at 3359 153 Ave NW, Northeast Edmonton. What started in a garage was now a proper shop. Groceries, spices, hair and beauty, fabrics. Everything stocked with intention. Cecilia knew exactly what her community had been missing because she’d been missing it too. Every shelf in that store is an answer to someone’s request.
